About this build
This detached ADU in Los Altos is finished and handed over. The kitchen runs shaker cabinetry with quartz counters, a brick-look tile backsplash and stainless appliances; the bath is fully tiled with a glass shower enclosure, a wood-tone vanity and matte-black fittings. Wide-plank flooring and wall-mounted mini-split climate control carry through the living space, which opens to the lawn on sliding glass doors.
As with every ADU San Mateo project, the design, structural engineering, and city permitting were completed in-house before ground-break, so construction ran on a clear, approved plan from foundation to final walkthrough. The clips below are unedited walkthrough footage recorded on handover day.
