Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
ADU San Mateo wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website, learn about our work, and get in touch with us.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We have not had an independent audit, so we do not claim full conformance, and we keep working on the site as we find issues.
What we have done
- Every link, button, and form field shows a visible focus outline, so the whole site can be used with a keyboard.
- Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Form fields have labels, and our forms explain how we will use your contact details.
- Moving content can be stopped: project videos have a pause button, and the testimonial carousel has a pause button.
- Animations and moving video respect your device's reduced-motion setting.
- An accessibility options menu lets you adjust how the site looks and reads.
Known limitations
- Project videos are silent site footage with no speech, so they have no captions or transcripts.
- Some content comes from other services, such as our Instagram posts, and those services control its accessibility.
