About this build
The Devon ADU is a two-story detached ADU currently under construction. It was framed on site over a poured slab, with full-height walls and a second-story floor carried up to a gable roof.
The shell is now weather-wrapped, with the window openings flashed, and the roof is shingled with skylights set into it. Inside, drywall is hung and primed: the top-floor ceilings are vaulted and lit by the skylights, and the shower is waterproofed ahead of tile.
As with every ADU San Mateo project, the design, structural engineering, and city permitting are handled in-house. The clips below follow the build from framing through drywall.
